The Five Leading Misconceptions in Golf

1. Keep your head down - This in not just bad for your game this is bad for your body. Become the big keys to striking the ball well is always to rotate thru the shot. Should you be concentrating on ”staying down” you will never be capable of clear most of the way thru the shot. Including that if your body is doing rotate thru and your eyes are stuck to the ground, you are usually putting great torque on your neck…ouch!

2. Keep your left arm straight - As soon as you give attention to keeping your arm straight you will make excessive tension in your arms and it will be complicated release the club right. You do want your left arm extended but relaxed. The extension gives you the utmost arc as well as the relaxed muscle means that you can go faster, equating to more distance.

3. Ball position- Numerous golfers play the ball to far forward with the driving force and too far back with all the short irons. Ball position is dictated from the triangle formed by your hands/arms/shoulders + the location of your clubface relative into the shaft + a small adjustment to allow for the appropriate angle of descend or ascend. The irons are slightly about the downswing so the ball is slightly back and the drive is a little about the up swing so it's a bit forward. But for your complete set the ball only moves about 4 inches. That could be from Sand wedge the whole set of path to the Driver.

4. Swing the club down the line - The swing is a circle, more expressly it is definitely an ellipse. In order to swing down the line, the club must travel inside a straight line. This cuts off the centrifugal force of the swing, robbing you of distance. It also affects the ability to square the clubface. Straight lines on the swing tend to block the ball to the suitable…bye-bye. Think more about swinging the club around you then down the line.

5. Hitting down makes the ball go up- Hitting down creates the ball go down. Hitting up makes the ball go up. If you have a tree before you which are required to go over you be hoping for a capable lie so you can lean back and swing up to the ball to gather it over that tree, you will not be hitting down on it. It is a well known true that all clubs excepting the motive force are deliberate to strike the ball with a descending blow, but it is the loft that produces the ball go up not the angle of attack. A better thought to produce the ball go up would be to pinch the ball between the clubface and so the ground. This provides you with clean contact, which will help make higher the ball.
